The Intergenerational Outreach Choirs (IOC) is an Oregon based Domestic Non-Profit Corporation established for public benefit (IRS 501(C) (3). Choral ensembles include residency service choirs in local area assisted living homes and programming inside the Coffee Creek Women’s Correctional Facility.
The word, “intergenerational” means ALL AGES. In today’s society there is a disconnect within our communities. A gap has been created between the young and old. The IOC seeks to mend the gap and change the attitudes we have about our young and old. Our intergenerational women’s choirs provide a place for mothers to build a relationship with their daughters and other women who want music in their lives. We believe every individual has a voice and welcome all singers at all musical levels. We believe in exposing our members to all styles of music from cultures all around the world. We are a service and performance organization that collaborates with different choirs and other organizations throughout Oregon.
The IOC is a Non-Profit Organization.
